![]() ![]() The RetroArch 1.9.1 update is now live on Google Play Store. Rather it supports plugins called "Cores" that let you emulate a number of legacy consoles, such as the Nintendo DS, so you can have all your emulators and games in one place. as people complaining about those fixing the problem and trying to protect the feelings of a non-living entity of ignored coded lies are beyond reason. For the uninitiated, RetroArch is not an actual emulator itself. Reply notifications disabled along with messages/requests/tags/etc. They can either get over it or keep whining at the people who are actually providing real, concrete, working solutions to those lies. If RetroArch tells me on a fresh install on a clean system that it is in a window, yet is actually in fullscreen, that’s an outright lie and is not being responded to by the people responsible for said lie when countless users have reported it.Īny one, or in this case entity, who is a literal liar to their userbase and ignores them when they try to help them identify and fix the issue deserves no sympathy from me, and beyond that it’s literally censored and could mean any number of negative words from “forget” or otherwise (regardless of what some over active interpreter may assume based on other’s past habits statements and their own personal experiences) and targeted at a non-living entity, so if someone wants to whine and cry about my personal and valid opinion towards a literal program, then they have bigger issues to deal with than refusing to code. Can you provide me with one single official response solve ticket to this? I can provide you with ten unique reports of this issue that I bookmarked while researching this. ![]() Will screencap and post their incompetence elsewhere Beyond that, if you find the topic and wonder “why won”t RetroArch actually go borderless full screen and why can’t I make it a Fullscreen window without menu bar gap?, blame your mods. Hint: RetroArch can have core functionality that is not available in the menu or config files changed internally by rocket launcher. There is a solution to fix this, but as the idiot mods here would rather ban me for calling out their issue, their lack of devs responding to the issue for YEARS, and whine that I criticize the platform for it? I think I’ll keep it to myself. **What is SUPPOSED to happen is when Windowed Full Screen to prevent “ DISPLAY SWITCHING ” is set to YES (or TRUE in the config), then RetroArch should be in a BorderLess Window.** the problem is, this functionality does not work and RetroArch stays in Fullscreen modeĮdited and withheld. but that’s a completely different, although just as important, issue.). Solution: after googling, this bug has been reported MANY TIMES for YEARS but has never been addressed (same with overrides not applying to hotkeys. If not possible, then how can I set RetroArch to STAY 1080 and not resize itself down to 1066 and leave a gap where the menu-bar used to be? How can I setup full screen mode to NOT FLASH or reset my display everytime it starts? leaving a gap the EXACT SIZE OF THE MENU BAR THAT I DISABLED! except now, everytime retroarch starts up, it CHANGES MY SET WINDOW SIZE from 1080 to 1066. So I tried “Windowed Mode” and set it to 1920x1080, unfortunately there was an annoying menu bar on top, so I figured out how to disable it in the UI settings and all should be fine, no more flashing. I tried adjusting the Fullscreen settings, but nothing changed this. ![]() then for whatever reason RetroArch DOES SOMETHING and my display flashes and resets and I see “HDMI IN 1 1080p 60hz” because RetroArch did SOMETHING that made my display think something had changed (which makes no sense as it was 1080 60 prior to this “switch” flash). The fade comes up, says “loading”, then removes itself from the screen and I see RetroArch WORKING PERFECTLY for 1-2 seconds with the game loaded and running just fine on screen. While trying to use FULLSCREEN, I launch RetroArch via RocketLauncher directly into the game. If they’d rather cry and whine about me insulting RetroArch (a non-living entity) with a literal censored single letter, then they can do that and I’ll keep the various fixes I’ve posted here including this one to myself I will not be sharing here as the mods would rather ban me for calling the platform out on this instead, so if you’re having this problem, blame the mods instead of me. Problem have been solved via RL, as RetroArch cannot internally fix the problem itself as the developers haven’t responded to the bug for YEARS and refuse to address it internally. ![]()
